Decolonizing the postpartum in your practice August 2023 – For postpartum practitioners from traditionally marginalised communities/those who have experienced some form of colonisation or displacement in their cultural past. Learn to follow the threads and uncover postpartum traditions in your community of origin. How to weave together the threads to reform the fabric of care and support anew for modern times. Learn to recognise harmful but widespread ideas in modern postpartum culture and how to offer parents the tools and support to question, enquire and become mindful of the effect of these ideas on themselves and their families in the short and long-term.
